Would you recommend buying Mass Effect for Xbox 360?
I'm thinking about buying this game but I'm not sure because there seems to be mixed feelings about it. Would you recommend buying it? What are the pros and cons of the game? What got annoying? What was super cool? I'm a fan of games like KOTOR or the Fable games. I also enjoy games like the Halo Trilogy and Gears of War 1 and 2.... Thanks a lot.
If you liked KotOR, you will love Mass Effect. It's the same kind of deep RPG where your character choices actually have an effect on what you can and can't do, and how the world reacts.
Pros: gorgeous, huge, in-depth character interaction, and the major replay value comes from changing which choices you made in the game (and starting over as a different class, with the perk of a bonus weapon skill from the prior playthrough). Tons of sidequests to explore.
Cons: The Mako is difficult to navigate comfortably while exploring. Certain biotic abilities make enemies perhaps too easy. The sniper rifle, used well, can be brutal... In your enemies hands, too.
Annoyances: The #$@%ing Mako, as mentioned above.
