dragon age origins awakening or final fantasy 13 witch one should i get?
If I were to get one or the other, I'd get FF XIII. But that is because I'm a FF fanboy.
You're asking about the expansion to Dragon Age Origins. I'm assuming that you have the original Dragon Age Origins. Did you like that? There won't be as much of a learning curve to DAO:A as there would be to FF XIII. You know the story, you know the characters. You can also import your character from DAO so you don't have to start out fresh. Seeing how this is an expansion, there's going to be a lot of time put into this series. Also, there will probably be another expansion, so you won't be losing out on potential game play time by going with this series.
As for Final Fantasy XIII, this is already in their 13th release of their main title line. A thing to note is that none of the main titles are related to one another. Playing the 13th will not ruin or give spoilers to the previous 12. You also won't need to play the previous 12 to understand what will happen in the 13th. Another big thing about the FF franchise is that you know it is stable. The FF franchise also has been known for releasing vivid worlds and engaging story lines. You won't be disappointed with this title if you buy it. I hear they're releasing Final Fantasy Versus 13 and Final Fantasy Agito 13. But these two aren't a sequel or prequel to FF XIII, they just share the same myths and themes as XIII.
Hope my views can help you decide. If you can't decide, or want them both, get both. If you can't afford both and can't decide, go with FF XIII because you can never go wrong with a FF game.
